Functieomschrijving

Would you like to be Proforto’s voice in France? We’re looking for someone to set up customer service for our French market and who will also be available right away to assist our Danish and Swedish customers.

Here's what you'll do:

You'll be Proforto's French voice from day one, with our Danish and Swedish customers alongside it. There's no script waiting for you and no French playbook yet: you'll write it. Not on your own, though: there's a customer service team in Nijmegen who have been doing this for years, and they'll help you find your feet.

📞 Answering French customers by phone, email, chat, WhatsApp and social

🗣️ Helping our Danish and Swedish customers in English, alongside the French market

💼 Giving real advice: which safety boot suits which trade, which certification a job calls for, what works for a crew of forty

🔍 Explaining the French market to the rest of Proforto: what customers expect, what they ask for, what we haven't got

🤝 Pulling in purchasing, logistics or our personalisation team when a customer needs more than a straight answer

🚀 Building the French service toolkit from scratch: templates, FAQs, tone of voice

About Proforto
Proforto is the biggest name in workwear in the Benelux, and France is where we go next. 💙

We started in 2014 on a simple premise: kitting out a workforce shouldn't be a hassle. Today, tens of thousands of companies in construction, industry, healthcare, hospitality and transport buy their gear from us. Around 250,000 products from 140 brands, from work trousers and jackets to safety boots, gloves, helmets and PPE, with logos printed and embroidered in-house. Our office is in Nijmegen, our warehouse in Oosterhout, and between them we ship thousands of orders a week. Customers in the Netherlands who order before 11 PM have it the next morning.

Belgium has been part of our home market for years and Germany went live in early 2026. France is next: its own norms, its own paperwork, its own way of doing business. We're looking for someone who knows all three from the inside and can build our service around them.

Vereisten

What you bring:
🗣️ French at native level, written and spoken.

🌐 Professional English. Comfortable enough to advise a customer in writing and on the phone. It's the language you'll share with our Nordic customers and with the team.

📈 Customer service experience, wherever you picked it up: phone, email, chat or shop floor.

🎯 A commercial ear. You hear what someone actually needs behind what they ask for, and you're comfortable saying so

🥇 A real instinct for looking after people.

💪 The self-reliance to run markets nobody at Proforto has run before.

Nobody walks in here knowing the difference between an S1P and an S3 boot. You'll pick all of that up with us.

Where you'll be based:
Two options, and both are genuinely fine with us.

  • From home, in your own market. You don't have to move country for this job, and you don't have to start in the Netherlands either. We'll onboard you remotely, with someone from the customer service team as your buddy through the first weeks. So you're never guessing on your own. You stay in France, close to the market you're building, and you keep the life you already have.

  • Or with us in Nijmegen (Dukenburg), the Netherlands. Our office is right by the motorway and a short walk from the station, and it's full of people who'll answer your question before you've finished typing it. If you'd rather move here from France, say so and we'll talk it through.

Tell us in your application which of the two you'd like. Both are equally welcome. We care about who you are, not which chair you sit in.

What's in it for you:
🚀 Markets of your own to build, and a real say in how we do it

💰 A salary that matches what you bring

🌍 A team where your languages and your read on your markets are the whole reason you're here

🛍️ Staff discount across our full range

🌱 A company that's still growing, which means room to grow with it

Based in Nijmegen? Add a travel allowance, an office right by the motorway and close to the station, the odd day working from home, lunches together, Friday drinks and the kind of company parties people still bring up two years later.

Sound like you? 💙

Apply through the form on this page.

One thing we do ask: send a real cover letter with it, in English. Without one we can't do much with your application, and we'd rather not miss you over a formality. Tell us who you are, why this market and why Proforto. We're looking forward to reading it.💙
